2019 Allied Health Forum Attracts Clinicians From Across Western Victoria

Western Victoria PHN hosted an Allied Health Forum at RACV Goldfields Resort, Creswick, on Saturday 26 October which was attended by 40 allied health clinicians from across western Victoria from disciplines including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, osteopathy, exercise physiology, myotherapy, psychology and many more.

The event, titled It’s all about Allied Health, included presentations from the following guest speakers throughout the day:

  • Mr David Mitchell and Dr Greg Harris: A Pain in the Butt
  • Michelle Bihary: Self-leadership and Resilience
  • Victor McConvey: Update on Parkinson’s and Emerging Research
  • Marcus Gardner: Victorian Allied Health Clinical Supervision Framework and Clinical Education

Pain Revolution representatives, Luke Postlethwaite, Brett Boyle and Trevor Barker, along with Anna McIntyre from NPS MedicineWise, also spoke to attendees about the Pain Revolution’s mission to help all Australians access community-based pain education through the Local Pain Educator Program and to provide support to local health professionals to become pain experts in their communities.
