I would like to wish you and your families all the best for the celebratory season and the year ahead. Whether you’re travelling on the road or spending time by the coast over the summer holiday season, please stay safe. We have provided some important information in Westvic News on how to stay safe in respect to potential fires, extreme heat and heatwaves.
The team at Western Victoria PHN has had a number of significant achievements this year, which you can read in our 2019 Annual Report here. I would personally like to thank you as a health community for all the times you have provided us with feedback, advice and support over the year so as to contribute to the great outcomes we have achieved together. I would also like to acknowledge all the clinical leaders who work closely with us and the Clinical and Community Council members who have provided important advice on the work we are doing and what we are planning for the future.
It has been a pleasure to lead Western Victoria PHN in 2019 through its fourth successful year and I thank our Board, managers and staff for their hard work and commitment during the year.
The four regional Western Victoria PHN offices located in Geelong, Ballarat, Warrnambool and Horsham will be closed for the Christmas break from Wednesday 25 December 2019 until Thursday 2 January 2020 at 9am.
Recognising – 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence
Western Victoria PHN recognises the 16 days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence global initiative running from 25 November – 10 December, which challenges violence against women and girls.
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign originating from the first Women’s Global Leadership Institute, 16 Days. The campaign is an organising strategy for individuals and groups around the world to call for the elimination of all forms of gender-based violence against women. See the article in Westvic News for more details.
