Construction of a new permanent headspace facility for young people in Armstrong Creek is currently underway. It will replace the temporary site in Central Blvd, Armstrong Creek. Operated by experienced mental health provider Stride Mental Health, headspace Armstrong Creek is providing services to support mental health, physical health (including sexual health) and alcohol and other drugs for young people.

With funding from the Australian government and commissioned by Western Victoria Primary Health Network (WVPHN), Stride Mental Health consulted with young people in the community to develop the new facility. Stride has also drawn on its experience delivering headspace services across the Geelong region and interstate for many years.
Stride Mental Health Interim CEO Rocky Naickar said: “With the opening of this new facility, we look forward to continuing the engagement with the broader Geelong community, the headspace youth reference group and our service partners who have been integral in the success of the service to date.”
WVPHN CEO Craig Wilding said he was delighted that the new Armstrong Creek facility will continue to welcome young people from across the area. “Breaking down barriers for young people accessing mental health support and helping foster better relationships with their natural support networks is key to the health and wellbeing of our youth,” Mr Wilding said. “We are proud to be providing even greater access to appropriate care.”
