Western Victoria Primary Health Network (WVPHN), and the former Medicare Locals and Divisions of General Practice, had previously published lists of general practitioners, general practices and specialists on our website to aid health professionals with referrals, and to locate other health professionals in their areas.
WVPHN has taken legal advice on changes in privacy legislation. These changes legally require us to advise our stakeholders, and gain their written consent, on how we use their information. This includes publishing their contact details. As a result, these lists have been removed from our website until we have obtained written consent to publish individual contact details from those included in the lists.
We will advise our stakeholders when the health professional lists are again available.
We encourage primary health care providers seeking information on available health professionals across western Victoria to access information through our HealthPathways site (by clinical condition with local referral pathways). Alternatively, please use the National Health Services Directory
