WorkSafe Victoria Launches Clinical Hotline Trial in Western Victoria

Western Victoria PHN (WVPHN) welcomes this week’s launch of WorkSafe Victoria’s new clinical hotline to enable health practitioners to directly access a panel of workers compensation clinical experts.

The hotline is being piloted in the WVPHN region as part of WorkSafe’s Clinical Redesign program that aims to improve injured worker outcomes. The Clinical Hotline can be reached by phoning: 03 4243 6950.

The trial was launched on Monday, May 3 and is staffed by Hotline Clinicians including WorkSafe GPs, and Occupational and Sports Physicians from Monday to Thursdays between 9am and 5pm.

GPs can also phone the hotline outside of these hours and leave a message for a Hotline Clinician to return their call the following business day.

The first phase of the Clinical Hotline pilot is available to general practitioners in western Victoria and the Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network catchments.

For more information on this pilot, please contact WorkSafe project team members: Maryanne Allan or Sarah Gregorio.
