As part of Western Victoria PHN’s commitment to improving the knowledge and skills of our primary health care practitioners, we host a series of keynote events each year.
Each year, general practitioners from throughout western Victoria come together for our GP Refresher event.
This two-day conference features prominent speakers on topical subjects relevant to various aspects of managing a general practice and providing best-practice primary health care. Extensive networking opportunities are also offered to allow GPs to share their experiences and knowledge with peers.

Our Spring Symposium for allied health professionals was launched in 2019. The one-day event brings together health professionals from a broad range of allied health services. Presentations focus on both running their health service as well as important updates in the delivering of patient care.
Our twice-yearly Immunisation Forums offer opportunity for immunisation nurses and other health professionals to hear updates and insights from leading policy-makers, researchers and providers in the immunisation sector.
The full-day forums are held in Geelong and Ballarat and open to any relevant practitioners the western Victoria region.
