BALLARAT - Ice Training for Welfare Workers - Wednesday 27 March
Topic: Ice Training for Frontline Workers
360Edge is now delivering half day ICE training workshops for frontline workers across Victoria. These sessions will empower you with knowledge and skills to understand and work effectively with people who may be affected by ice. The training will build your confidence, knowledge and skills so you can respond safely and effectively to people who may affected by the drug ICE.
Key learning outcomes:
- Understand the effects of ice and identify users
- Find out how to work safely to protect yourself and others
- Learn how to respond to ice-affected people
- Discover what works in the treatment
About the training:
As a frontline worker, you have a greater likelihood of coming into contact with people who use methamphetamine (‘ice’ or ‘speed’). The training will help you understand effective strategies to respond.
The workshops are free and funded by the Victorian Government’s Ice Action Plan and delivered by Australia’s leading consultants in ice responses.
This training is eligible for continuing professional development points for most professional bodies and a certificate of attendance will be provided.
