HORSHAM - Voluntary Assisted Dying in Victoria - Will you be ready? Tuesday 4 June

The Voluntary Assisted Dying Act (2017) will take effect in Victoria from 19 June 2019. Patients in Victoria with advanced, progressive incurable illness, who meet strict criteria, will be able to request Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD). Regardless of one's personal views about VAD, it will be a legally available option for some patients near the end of life.General Practitioners will almost certainly have patients asking about this option and so will need to have in place an effective way of responding to such enquiries.
