LIVE STREAM - Invitation to SafeScript Training - Wednesday 12 June
Hear the latest on SafeScript, the Victorian Government's real-time prescription monitoring system at this CPD accredited 'live-stream' training event. This session will cover the background of the system and the key information you need to use it in our practice or pharmacy including an overview of high-risk medicines and how to have challenging conversations with your patients about high-risk medicines.
This training is primarily aimed at Victorian General Practitioners and Pharmacists, although all interested Health Professionals are welcome to register and watch the sessions.
• Dr Mark Davies (MBBS MRCGP)
Mark is a GP and a prescriber of methadone and suboxone from the Barwon Heath Drug and Alcohol clinic. He is passionate about the medical treatment of opiate addiction (MATOD) and about the holistic treatment of people addicted to opiates.
• Kara Joyce (B.Pharm)
Kara is an NPS MedicineWise Clinical Services Specialist.
She has practiced as a community pharmacist for over 10 years with experience in both rural and metropolitan areas.
