Long Acting Injectable Antipsychotics

This four module educational program has been developed to assist GP's, registrars, psychiatrists, practice nurses and mental health clinicians to understand the place of long acting injectable antipsychotics in the treatment of patients with schizophrenia.

Each module is around 20 minutes in length and the modules can be viewed in any order. There is no knowledge test, however, once you have viewed all four modules then a certificate of completion for the course may be generated and used for CME or CPD verification.

This program has been developed as a partnership between Barwon Health, Western Victoria Primary Health Network and Deakin University. The development was funded by an educational grant from Janssen Pharmaceuticals. Janssen had no editorial input into the module development.

The modules require an internet browser that supports either Flash or HTML5, and use video and audio. Working speakers or headphones are needed to hear the audio narration. The modules will also work on an iPad or Android tablet or smartphone.

This activity is accredited with the RACGP for 3 Category two points.
