The practice will endeavor to make the relocation as seamless as possible and will provide housing assistance and a family car to the successful doctor!
In this role there is the opportunity to work across a variety of demographics – working part-time in Lorne and Apollo Bay or full time at the Apollo Bay mixed billing clinic.
This AGPAL accredited mixed billing clinic sees approximately 120 patients a week. You will be supported by one FRACGP during VMO and on call rotations, which is less than one in four weekends or one night a week. As Apollo Bay clinic is part of a larger group practice, there will also be doctors and nurses available for support at the second location in Lorne. Hospital rounds are conducted in the morning.
Support from a practice nurse, experienced administration staff and a practice manager will see you rapidly transition smoothly into the community within this well-established clinic.
Australian GP and hospital experience preferred
AHPRA Registration – general or specialist
Accident and emergency skills desirable
On-call retainer equivalent to $1,000 per weekend + 90% billings
65% of billings for general registration (70% or more for FRACGP or FACRRM)

Lorne and Apollo bay practices are operating in similar organisation structures with integrated primary care focus. They work together to provide great care to the communities through thriving and growing services.
The Apollo Bay clinic has a strong relationship with the local health service – located onsite, providing on-call, nursing home (20 beds), and VMO cover. The clinic has a visiting podiatrist, pediatrician and physician on a regular basis. Aged care, Urgent care, and pathology services are also on site with a pharmacy located within the community.
Apollo Bay clinic currently has three doctors – 1 VR, 2 registrars and a Nurse Practitioner and RIPEN nurse in the Urgent Care. The clinic consists of four consulting rooms with a three bed treatment room where services such as skin clinics and pap smears are conducted.
Practice hours are Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 5.45pm and Saturday 9am to 12pm, closed on Sundays.
The main patient health issues that impact on the practice are women’s health, diabetes, and chronic disease management.
Access to an allied health referral network is available through Otway Health with occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, health coaching, exercise diabetes educator, social worker and community nursing readily accessible.Apply
