Family and children’s health is a key area of importance for the primary health care sector. In western Victoria, there are nearly 430,000 children aged 14 years and younger. Approximately, 13,800 – or over three per cent – of these children live with one of more long term health conditions.
Western Victoria PHN works with our health providers to deliver the following initiatives specifically to support family and children’s health:
- headspace
- Doctors in Secondary Schools
- Family Violence training and resources for general practice
- Childhood Immunisation
