Head to Health centres provide an entry service for adults seeking mental health support. The Commonwealth-funded centres offer a range of mental health assessments, treatments and supports.

A GP referral is not required prior to contacting the centres.

Who can access Head to Health

Head to Health services are available to all adults with moderate to severe mental health issues, including carers and family members.

Centre clients are then supported by wellbeing and mental health clinicians alongside people with lived experience of mental health issues by:

  • providing short term assistance to meet immediate mental health needs
  • helping navigate local support services to guide them to the services that are most suitable for each individual.

Head to Health is a no-cost service. However, people may be referred to support and/or services that require payment of a professional fee.
