Who can access Medicare Mental Health

Medicare Mental Health services are available to all adults with moderate to severe mental health issues, including carers and family members.

Centre clients are then supported by wellbeing and mental health clinicians alongside people with lived experience of mental health issues by:

  • providing short term assistance to meet immediate mental health needs
  • helping navigate local support services to guide them to the services that are most suitable for each individual.

Medicare Mental Health is a no-cost service. However, people may be referred to support and/or services that require payment of a professional fee.
